NickL RE: buangkok [total : 4 comment(s) to this image]
There are 2 sidings: 1 towards HBF; the other towards PGL. The sidings lead to a street-level depot below the LRT depot.

MRB/BRD/OTP/CGA are crossovers except OTP where the alignment is something like this:

it would be interesting to view the tunnels when u real buangkok area... that is where their depot lands...instead of looking right from the cab, u look at the left, there is one sidings there leading to the depot if i am not wrong, i always curious abt it but nv had the chance to view it....

Marina Bay/Braddel/Outram/CG2 has similar sidings do have a look at it, u might find something nice...

Anyway, this is between Farrer Park & Little India. Why? SK-PG & FRP-LTI have a complicating series of crossovers with sidings for peak hour trains.

It's just recently. On 3rd Dec, not much. From the 4th onwards, they just keep sprouting up. Even tgp railway station. The flags weren't there when I took the SM up. When I say many, I actually meant lots more besides the permanent on at the buffers.

It's not the station constrain that they used 3 car, CCL itself is not a main line, no need to be 6 car train..

Circle Line will also be using ALSTOM cars I think. I got sad news for all SG Trains fans- CCL may be using 3-car pathetic sets compared to the 6-car ones that r currently used due to space constrain in the stations. However, the keywords are: ......ccl MAY BE using......

The third rail is actually a track (that's how it got it's name) that provides the DC 750 volt to the train via the catching arm of the train (Driving Trailer).

The third rail is position in a reverse side and is covered with the cover that we all see, unless you have the chance to 'bend down' to see.. hehe..

i can tell u the sequence, it has been following me for years already, i even memorised that station numbers, the older version as well as newer versions. The sequence for colours is the 3 of each, orange followed by blue followed by green and vice versa on the other end. From jurong northbound train to the other end, which is marina bay, it takes around an hr or so. Depends on the number of passengers during the peak periods as well as the frequency.
