That train was officially 'open' on the test track at Bishan depot..

nice

... since smrt use thrid rail... i wonder where the exact contact point to deliver eletricity? i always looking for it... or is it through the wheels?

Dom's right..

The third rail is actually a track (that's how it got it's name) that provides the DC 750 volt to the train via the catching arm of the train (Driving Trailer).

The third rail is position in a reverse side and is covered with the cover that we all see, unless you have the chance to 'bend down' to see.. hehe..

when u taking trains from tanah merah towards pasir ris... observe the opposite trains... u will see arms pointing out of the boogies... that is the contact arms they refering to...

Sam to bend over to see the third rail, not the catching arms...

Anyway we can see the catching arms in any stations.

the cables is covered, unlike NEL which is overhead and can see de... but hor similar third rail structure is shown, what is that for ah???

Yes, NEL.

I saw that too. I asked the guy taking care of the train (what's the term?) what that was for. He said it was just a box of signalling and emergency evacuation cables. He told me to look closely and see if the box was on the floor or suspended and it was on the floor. You are not the only one, k3nshiboi. Hehe.
