looks like...

it seems to mi is the 1st generation kawasaki trains as the windows are not light blue and the internal shots does not looks like one too

Hmm...

Yea. See the numbering? Set 051&052. That means it's the 26th train. Still haven't reach the mark for 2nd gen.

it has jumbled number.. the onli common pt to remember for 2nd gen train is their famous greenish blue windows... and their smaller size coach....

how do u tell

between a 1st n 2nd gen... simple... look at the entrance of the door... if there's a black pad by the door (on the floor), it's a 2nd gen..

it's a first gen.

amazing

it's amazing how well SMRT maintainence their train. :)

despite this 1st generation train serve SMRT for so long, yet it's still in very good working condition.

by the way, the trains used ATP (automatic train protection) or ATC (automatic train control) or they just soley depend on the driver to react to situation?

Fyi,

now driver not even needed. Station control can do the full job. I saw driver walking in the train when the door closed and then accelerated! And the driver still relak-ly walking to the other cab.
