That's not bashing. That's what is called collective action, since TMnet does not bother to do anyhing it seems. For the record the site does not address Streamyx per se, but the general broadband situation in Malaysia. Even blogger elite Mr Jeff Ooi has initiated a collective action. Personally I'm also tired of Streamyx' sucky service.
I have put up the same banner at my site. _________________ This is a Piccadilly Line service to Heathrow, Terminals 4 and 1 2 3 |

I really wished it was bashing Streamyx directly, but unfortunately the webmaster of that website used "Malaysian Broadband". Their intention is not to bash any broadband companies. I added those links for Malaysians to help improve our broadband. _________________ Add me on Google+!!

Actually I'm contented with Streamyx. However improvements can be made. I find that paying RM66/mth is really way too cheap but its worth it for such quality.
I have experienced paying SG$200+/mth for 2Mbps bandwidth before in 1998 to 2000 (Singtel Magix) and the quality is definitely so much better compared to those cheaper SG$50+ broadband services.
I should say that TM has done a good job to encourage Malaysians to switch to broadband. But the way they manage their network and customers can be improved. |

Just to share abit..
As a host of this website, I have a 2Mbps up/down connection for this webserver and a few of my other servers running games.
The bandwidth isn't cheap. Since I've switched to a cheaper ISP, its about SG$160/mth for 1Mbps of bandwidth. So multiply it by two is what I'm paying for. (Excluding electricty bill, space rental and IP Addresses) |
